TAC Cut Away House
The TAC Cut Away House features a full-scale model of a two-storey timber framed house, which shows all elements of its structure.
The cut away concept of the display highlights the relationships between all building related products used, and all the applications that are normally hidden by the building process are displayed in situ and on full view.
The TAC House features Multi Residential Timber Frame Construction (MRTFC) which displays some typical construction techniques and the application of approved linings and claddings.
Visitors to the centre have the opportunity to walk through the TAC house and see how all the elements combine in the construction of a building.
The house is used for:
• training customers of architects and builders
• educating students and the public
• showing product applications
• complementing other displays
